The Health Information Services Department maintains and provides a vast amount of health information to the benefit of patients, physicians, medical research and education. Medical records of all patients are analyzed, abstracted, and maintained in the office.
The contents of these records will not be disclosed to any third party without proper authorization or court order. Other functions of the Health Information Services Department include medical transcription and the Tumor Registry which is the compilation of data in cancer cases used to enhance the care of cancer patients and increase the knowledge of cancer.
