Martin General Hospital delivers intensive clinical services through a skilled team of professionals who are ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certified.
The Intensive Care Unit is a six-bed unit designed to provide care to critically ill patients who require constant observation and multiple monitoring of patients in the units as well as monitoring the patients on the medical-surgical floor that have portable telemetry monitors.
The monitoring system in the unit has specialized equipment to monitor EKG rhythm, blood pressure and oxygen saturation to care for patients with ventilator, respiratory and cardiac needs. The portable telemetry system specializes in monitoring cardiac rhythms.
Patients are transferred from the unit once the physician feels their condition has improved.

Our goal is to care for our patients; your family member with the best possible critical care. We pride ourselves at Martin General Hospital ICU in having some of the finest doctors and nurses to take care of you and/or your family. We will be rounding hourly or more frequently as needed to make sure the needs of our patients are met.
