00009530.jpgAt Martin General Hospital, outpatient and inpatient surgeries are performed five days a week, with emergency surgeries available as needed.  We have an experienced surgical team, specialized equipment, and life-saving interventions. The caring staff of OR nurses will make sure you are comfortable and informed, and the anesthesiologists will manage your pain. If surgery is in your future, the experienced surgical staff at Martin General Hospital is here for you.

Pre-admission Testing is conducted prior to a surgical procedure. It usually includes blood work, an EKG, chest x-ray, physical assessment and history. These studies are conducted to detect and correct any abnormalities prior to surgery. Education, instruction and an uncomplicated recovery are our goals, and it is accomplished through continuity of care for patients before and after surgery.

A wide variety of outpatient procedures are performed daily at the Center.

Some Important Tips to Remember When Preparing for Your Procedure:
Follow your physician’s instructions in preparation for your surgery/procedure. This will allow you to avoid unnecessary delays and/or cancellations. Do not bring any items of value with you. Remember to prepare for a ride home prior to arriving the day of your surgery. Regardless of the surgical procedure, we require that a responsible adult pick you up at the hospital and drive you home.
